Do we have to have an alcohol open bar as part of the package?
Yes, one of our requirements is that the minimum base bar package is selected (Beer, Wine, Soda).
When we sign in are we locked in with the number of attendees?
Not at all! We understand that things are fluid until you get closer to the date of your event. Guests cancel, additional guests are added. That is not a problem, just let us know at the latest 30 days before your selected date and we will adjust on our end and create a new invoice/addendum for additional guests or refund for reduced guests. Guest count cannot be lowered more than 10% at the 30 day in advance of date mark.
What is the maximum number of guests The Snug can accommodate?
There really is no maximum! Underneath the pavilion we can comfortably seat 150 guests. However, with our expansive lawn area we are able to erect additional tents to accommodate larger weddings & events.
Do you provide tables, table cloths & chairs?
Yes, your package includes enough chairs, tables and linens for your event & guests. Tables are standard rectangular tables and linens are standard white linens. Should you wish for an alternate color or style of table we can source these for you (additional costs may apply). Cutlery & table pieces are the responsibility of the wedding party or selected caterer.
Do you offer any catering services?
We are able to cater buffet style for events up to 60 persons & will work with you on providing catering options. Of course we also work with a number of local catering companies who can cater any size event. Simply ask Megan and she will provide any information you need.
Are we able to decorate the space?
Absolutely, this is your day and we want it to be perfect!
Decorating the Snug, Pavilion and Patio in your own style is fine, we just ask that no nails, screws etc are used that could damage the property.
When are we allowed access to the space?
Access to the Space for decorating purposes is generally allowed the night before, unless we have a prescheduled event on that day in which case access is available the morning of your event. We recommend that nothing light be put on the outside tables in case of bad weather and the risk of them blowing away. Additionally, we don't expect you to pack down after you have enjoyed your event and you are welcome to come back the following morning to pick up any items left behind which can be stored inside the Snug overnight.
Do you provide the wedding arbor?
Yes, we do have a standard white wedding arbor which you are more than welcome to decorate. This can be placed on our patio space or alternatively moved onto the lawn.
What are your payment options?
A 50% deposit of the total cost of your event is required at booking which locks in the date for you. The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days prior to your selected date. Should things be added an addendum & invoice will be created for the additional items which would be payable immediately.
What beverage options are available?
We are a NYS Farm Brewery and as such are only able to serve NYS made products. We work with local wineries, breweries & distilleries to stock your wedding bar with a variety of locally made products that will appeal to all of your guests. Liquor consists of vodka, whisky, gin & rum.
How quickly do we need to book?
We recommend booking as soon as possible as our calendar fills up fast. Dates are offered on a first come, first served basis once the agreement is signed and deposit paid. We would hate for you to miss out on your date, so as soon as you know, let Megan know and we can get you the paperwork to get it locked in.
That's a great question! We believe we are unique in the wedding venue space as don't believe that you should be restricted for your big day by what a venue offers. We don't believe that there is such a thing as a cookie cutter wedding and that each and every wedding is unique. At the end of the day, this is your day & your event and it should be tailored to what and how you want it to be which is why we go out of our way to make your dreams and special day a reality! There may be some things we can't accommodate for, but we will let you know and trust us when we say we will go to the ends of the earth to try!
